About Linno

Picture this: You’re juggling work deadlines, a love life that’s more question mark than full stop. Oh, and that side hustle you’ve been “about to start” since last January.

Sound familiar?

Hey, I’m Linno, and I’ve been right where you are.
I am a tech pro turned digital entrepreneur, life coach and the author of Self-Control: Who’s Running the Show?.

I help people like you—smart and driven but maybe a tad stuck—grab the reins and build a life of purpose, freedom, and a bit of joy.

All this mumbo jumbo simply means I understand what makes people tick, what causes the common problems we have to deal with while adulting, and—most importantly—how to fix these issues quickly and easily.

No fluff, no faff—just real, workable change.

Think of me as your personal life-hacker, minus the dodgy podcast intro ;)

About me

Hey friend,

I’m Linno—a tech professional turned entrepreneur, life coach, podcaster and author. My book, “The Mindful Morning Method,” is a transformative guide that helps you build healthy habits and master your five energies: spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and business.

This page is all about my journey. I hope you find it inspiring and interesting. 🙂

Me, in a Nutshell—Minus the Boring Bits

I grew up on the windswept Cape Verde’s sunny shores, plotting my escape from the island life like a budget James Bond. That itch took me to Portugal for a Communication and Journalism degree.

Since then, I’ve explored over 20 countries, 108 cities and counting. I’ve clocked over 1500 hours of meditation, and took a challenge to devour 36 books in a single year—because, hey, settling for ordinary never sat right.

I’ve called four places home—Cape Verde, Portugal, Brazil, and now the UK—each one showing me how to turn a muddle into something meaningful.

Here’s a twist: My transformation led me to leave a ‘comfy’ tech job after a single Cape Verde sunrise whispered, “There’s more to life than this.” I’m now dedicated to coaching and helping others find their ‘more’—no grand exit required unless you’re feeling theatrical.

From Burnout to Breaking Through

London, 2018: Life looked good on paper—solid job, ticking boxes—but my relationship was stuck on repeat—like a playlist you can’t skip.

However, I wasn’t buying “That’s just how it is.”

So, I dived into psychology and self-development, took responsibility for every aspect of my life, started building habits that didn’t vanish at the first hurdle, and invested in coaching from the likes of Les Brown (who told me to speak from the heart) and experts from the Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher Institute just to name a few.

I went from snoozing till 10 a.m. to braving 5 a.m. gym sessions in November gloom—proof you can rewrite your script.
Now, I coach others to do the same.

Real Stories, Real Wins

Shashank, a London business owner, thought early mornings were for the birds—until I showed him how they can cut stress, sharpened focus, and sorted his sleep.

Sadaf, a lawyer, was stuck on “What do I even want?”—I helped her figure it out, and she couldn’t hide her gratitude.

Tolu from Lagos wasn’t sold on coaching till our first chat, which felt like “a cool balm.” Two sessions in, she’s chasing dreams she’d shelved.

I’ve guided many people to boost clarity by 30% at least, and they still say I’m a decent company over a cuppa.

I would like to thank you, Linno, for this experience of the 30-day Bulletproof morning challenge! I learned so much from you! And it was a great and important experience for me.

I think one thing you do very well is helping people to figure out what they actually want.I think you did that for me and I think that is a key thing for a lot of us. What do we really want from life?

It Started With Me—Now It’s Your Turn

I was my first project—testing habits, facing doubts, and seeing what stuck (like when I tried for a six-pack in six months and ended up with a sore back instead).

The transformation was undeniable, and soon others noticed.

When friends, then clients, noticed the shift, I saw how we all wrestle with modern life—work stress, swiping through duds, settling for “fine.”

That’s why I created The Prosperity Mindset Tools—to help you ditch procrastination, spark confidence, and turn “someday” into today.

Seeing you thrive? That’s the good stuff.

Dating. just because…

My Personal Journey:

When I found myself single and chose to stay that way for a while, I wrestled with whether to dip into dating apps.

I’ll be honest—I used not to understand why people use dating apps. I thought they were for people who didn’t know how to talk to others in real life.

Paying to talk to strangers? No, thanks.

Over the years, I created profiles on POF, Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble, etc. I got frustrated and deleted them after a few days. My problem? Even though i was a savvy internet user, I had no idea how to actually use online dating.

My thing was meet people in real life, so never cared much about online dating, so I was clueless about how to successfully navigate dating apps.

Honestly, the fact I was meeting and dating IRL; I didn’t like the feeling of having tried something and not succeeding at it. I couldn’t understand why many women would match me, and then nothing happened.
Finally, I decided to crack the code.

I studied attraction, tested different approaches, and treated online dating as a skill to be developed.

The Result?

✅ In just 10 months, I matched with nearly 400 people on Hinge alone(without paying a single pound).
✅ I went on more dates than ever before.
✅ I learned precisely what works and what doesn’t.

I know some people claim bigger numbers but that’s not the main point. And this may sound easier than it is, but it didn’t come without initial frustration, trial and error, and training myself to take it as a learning process.

The reason I a brining this is because often, people I coached asked me about it, and it didn’t feel right not knowing precisely what I was talking about, so I had to put myself to the test.

One of the things I hear is, hey, you’re good-looking, so it’s easy for you.
Does Looks matter online? Yes, quite a bit. But that is just the starting point.

It’s more about creating an attractive profile and then knowing how to text and how to date than the looks. If the looks were the main thing, I wouldn’t have had issues before. Look a my articles on dating here for more tips and insights on dating and datings apps.

Coaching and Mentoring

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with some incredible mentors and coaches, including top consultants from the Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher Institute.

Learning from inspirational figures like Les Brown has not only helped me improve myself but has also equipped me with the tools to guide others on their own journeys.

One memorable lesson from Les was to always ‘speak from the heart’—this advice changed how I connected with others and helped me become a more authentic coach. These experiences taught me the value of authenticity, honesty, and practicality in coaching.
Now, I help individuals break free from self-sabotaging habits, build confidence, and achieve their dreams.

My coaching covers developing an abundance mindset, setting goals, building positive habits, and cultivating leadership.

The Myths

In 2016, I was the furthest thing from a morning and focused person. I’d stay in bed most weekends until 10 a.m. unless work forced me up. I used every excuse in the book: “I’m too tired,” “It’s too hard,” or “That’s just not who I am.”

Deep down, I wanted more. So, I set a challenge: 5 a.m. gym sessions in London’s dreary November gloom. It was grim, and I nearly packed it in, but a friend kept me accountable. I’m here to tell you it is possible.

Our struggles are just stories we can rewrite:

“I’ll do it when I’m less busy.” Spoiler: busy’s not packing its bags.
“Dating’s a nightmare.” Maybe, but 136 questions might be over-egging it.
“I can’t change.” Nonsense—your brain’s more flexible than you think.

You can break free from the limitations you’ve set for yourself. I understand the struggle, the feeling of being stuck in a cycle of excuses and the desire for more out of life.

Busting the Myths Holding You Back

We made it work, which taught me something vital: most barriers are just stories we tell ourselves.

Here’s the truth:

  • Change takes small, steady steps—not overnight miracles.
  • You don’t need to hit rock bottom—just decide to act.
  • “That’s just me” is a myth; your brain can rewire.
  • Motivation wanes; systems endure.
  • Willpower alone won’t cut it—you need structure and support.
  • Mistakes aren’t the end; they’re part of the journey.
  • Clarity comes from doing, not pondering.
  • Success isn’t perfection—it’s persistence.

The Creation of Self-Control: Who’s Running the Show?

The Challenge that Changed Everything

Have you heard about the definition of insanity—doing the same thing and expecting different? This hit me hard during a challenging period of my life.
This quote resonated with me because I discovered I was doing similar things and then whining about similar results.

This realisation led me to embark on a journey of profound self-discovery and take back control. The experiences and results I gained inspired me to write my book, Self-Control: Who’s Running the Show?—a practical guide to help you fix your mind’s wonky bits.

  • Procrastination?
  • Dating flops?
  • That “Is this it?” feeling?

It’s a reset button for your head; no faff required.
